How Does Serenity Approach Patient Care?

At Serenity Mental Health Centers in Lakewood, Colorado, we center our care around the patient’s needs. We understand that everyone is an individual and what works for one person might not work for another, which is why your patient care coordinator, your patient care advocate, your psychiatrist, and the rest of the staff work with you to develop a personalized care plan.

Do You Accept Insurance?

We accept most insurance plans, including:

If you would like to confirm that we accept your insurance plan, please give us a call at 720-712- 0300. Currently, we do not accept any AHCCCS plans.

Can I Be Treated Without Insurance?

If your insurance doesn’t cover the treatments you need, or if you don’t have health insurance, you are more than welcome to pay out of pocket. We will also work with you to develop a payment plan if you can’t pay for everything at once.

What Should I Do to Prepare for My First Appointment?

For your first appointment, you will need a photo ID and a copy of your insurance card. We will also email you your new patient paperwork that you can fill out and bring with you. Or if you prefer, you can arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork at our office. 

Keep in mind that the new patient paperwork asks for your general practitioner’s contact information, the phone number and address of your current pharmacy, and a detailed history of your physical and mental health.
You may also find it helpful to write down a list of concerns and/or questions to discuss with your psychiatrist at your initial appointment. This way, you won’t forget about anything that you want to address.

Can I get an Appointment Outside of Regular Business Hours?

At Serenity Mental Health Centers, we understand that people lead busy lives, which can make it difficult to schedule psychiatry appointments. To make it easier on you, we are open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Can I Set Up a Payment Plan?

As we stated earlier, if you can’t pay for the costs of your treatment up front, we will work with you to develop a payment plan. Financial burdens are another aspect of your life that shouldn’t get in the way of your mental health, so don’t hesitate to discuss your concerns with us, and we will do what we can to work with you.
