Who We Are

Serenity Mental Health Centers is an Arizona psychiatry practice with locations in Gilbert and Lakewood, Colorado.

Serenity was founded in 2017 by Dr. TeeJay Tripp, our medical director, and Benjamin Pease, our CEO. Ben and Dr. Tripp wanted to address the growing need for high-quality psychiatry treatment in Lakewood, Colorado

We also have four amazing doctors and a wonderful support staff who all work tirelessly for our patients and support them in their mental health journey.

Dr. Tripp

Dr. TeeJay Tripp is the medical director at Serenity Mental Health Centers. He is a board-certified psychiatrist as well as a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Dr. Tripp has been using TMS as a treatment since 2013 and has seen firsthand how it can change people’s lives. Dr. Tripp received his D.O. from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he completed his residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Maricopa Integrated Health System.

Dr. La Haie, Serenity Mental Health Centers

Dr. La Haie

Dr. Dana-Jean La Haie joined Serenity Mental Health Centers in October of 2018. She has over a decade of experience in the field, and she is very passionate about her work.

She is a native of Arizona — she received her bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University and her M.D. at University of Arizona College of Medicine. She also completed her psychiatry residency at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. DeKeyser

Dr. Sherry Dianne DeKeyser works in our Phoenix psychiatry office. She completed her residency at New York Medical College and practiced psychiatry

in the mid-west for almost 15 years. She returned to Arizona at the beginning of 2019 and joined the Serenity Team. Dr. DeKeyser has a wide range of experience treating conditions like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and many others. She is very knowledgeable in her field and is even writing a book on preventative psychiatry.

Dr. Lee

Dr. Yong Lee has over 25 years of psychiatry experience. He knew he wanted to be a psychiatrist at an early age, so he pursued a bachelor’s degree degree in behavioral biology from Johns Hopkins University.

He then went on to receive his M.D. from University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed an internship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Lee’s decades of experience include extensive work with veterans. In fact, when Dr. Lee isn’t practicing at Serenity Mental Health Centers, he is working at the V.A. Center in Phoenix, AZ.

What We Do

Serenity Mental Health Centers specializes in difficult-to-treat cases of various mental health conditions

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • OCD
  • ADHD
  • PTSD
  • and others

We also offer groundbreaking treatment options, like ketamine and TMS therapy, that have worked even for patients who tried two to three medications without success.

We understand, however, that each patient is unique and needs an individualized approach to their care, which is why we offer a wide range of treatment options, including medication management. But your individualized treatment plan doesn’t stop there.

At Serenity Mental Health Centers, each patient has their own personal team of mental health professionals, including:

  • Patient care coordinator (PCC) — who handles all scheduling, insurance, and financial matters.
  • Patient care advocate (PCA) — who works closely with your psychiatrist to determine the best treatment to fit your needs. Your PCA will also answer all of your questions about TMS, ketamine, your medication, and any other concerns you may have.
  • Psychiatrist — of course, you will also have a psychiatrist who will evaluate your symptoms and provide you with a diagnosis as well as a treatment plan.

All three of these people will work with each other as well as the other staff, like the TMS techs, to ensure a positive experience for you at Serenity Mental Health Centers. If you’re interested in getting quality psychiatric care, call us today at 720-712- 0300 to schedule an appointment.

Why Us

At Serenity Mental Health Centers, our patients are treated as individuals.

Mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and others affect everyone differently, so psychiatrists can’t always use the same treatments for each patient, which is why we take the time to develop a personalized care plan for each of our patients.

Patients who come to serenity have an entire office of supporters who will do everything they can to help them succeed. In fact, one patient even described the staff here as her own personal cheerleaders who were cheering her on the sidelines of her recovery.

We Support Mental Health Awareness

Serenity Mental Health Centers is also very active in our local communities and supporting mental health awareness. In 2018, we participated in NAMI Walks, a race for suicide awareness. And in March of 2019, we participated in AZ Heroes to Hometowns Salute a Soldier 5K to raise awareness for veteran mental health.

Serenity was also on the local news, where one of our former patients talked about her experience with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and how it completely turned her life around. And of course, we are also active on social media, raising awareness about various mental health conditions and helping to break the stigma that surrounds mental health.
